Blacks Good Companion (Standard) tent and flysheet for sale in Sudbury, Derbyshire for sale

This is a very good condition Blacks of Greenock Good Companion tent in Egyptian cotton, complete with nylon flysheet (later addition), and both versions of poles, upright and the desirable A frame included. The tent is the version (circa 1966) with no groundsheet: this is an advantage as damage to a sig will devalue one of these tents, whereas this can use any slightly oversize sheet which in turn can be tied (like a tray) to the ties which tie the walls up for added ventilation in hot weather. Further, the walls have generous extensions ("sods") for tucking under the groundsheet; as do the main doors which can also be pegged out as windbreaks or to extend the interior space. It is in excellent condition with only slight fading and one or two marks. There is a small repair to the front valence as per photo. There is a shadow of me on one photo, it's not a huge mark on the tent!! The tent alone, without the fly, is entirely waterproof, having had my garden hose on it ...high power! The fly is a later nylon type and packs small and light. It has no holes or tears, but I have reinforced it (as per photos) where it seemed a little thin? The tent, upright poles and pegs (lots of them!) come in their own bag but the added A frame will be bagless, but I could put the lot in a canvas kit bag if requested. To serious enquirers I have some more photos I can email. The reason I am selling, as I have 3 of these fabulous tents now which I use when canoeing , but can't justify all 3........ (Blacks used to advertise this model as 2/3 man tents!)
